Yes, it’s true! I did a photoshoot at my local mall. The winter weather can be often times hard to shoot in because of the snow, cold, and daylight fading fast. Indoor locations are always a great option, although I do love shooting outside. Sometimes its nice to have a break from freezing my fingers off in the winter months, but I still struggle with finding unique places to shoot. At my local mall, there’s a really unique area with real plants and a cool spiraling seating area with skylights above. Lily, Bekah, Naomi, and I were all able to be warm, but still have the real greenery surrounding us. I haven’t shot with three models in a while and it is probably my favorite number of people to shoot with. Not too many people to worry about posing, and the perfect number to make posing look compositionally pleasing. I played around with posing all three of them and some shots of them one by one. I was exceptionally pleased with the color palette of neutrals, green, and pink, and the three girls complexions mixed perfectly as well. In the winter, I am very challenged to create visually interesting shots because I don’t want to do every shoot in the snow, and staying warm when possible is always a plus! Stay tuned for my next upcoming shoots! They are going to be some good ones.
